What's your opinion of them? I'd like to get some for sketching, but I've never actually used them before. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, they're those blue, sometimes red pencils awesome people like *makani use for sketches. [link] Also, should I get the Prismacolor brand?

Prismacolor is the king of colored pencils!

I haven't tried the prismacolor brand, but every other brand of colerase pencils erased just about as well as any other colored pencil. Then again, I'm not primarily a pencil user, so I'm not the best judge.

I love Prismacolors for some art and color erase for others. I tend to draw in blue color erase before I go to final pencils.

They haven't really passed over into my regular drawing much yet, but I use them for animating and they're really helpful. I can't help you with the brand, since I haven't been using them for long and have only used Prismacolors so far... (but they've been good to me)
